WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
SmartWare.tech is looking to help exceptionally brilliant, motivated, and growth-oriented hardware and IoT companies to get through the most critical early stages of their trajectories. Though this is never a necessary condition, we are always happy to come across professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, and concept owners working with production techniques and methods available at the sites of one of our venture partners. Therefore we are particularly interested in
mechatronics and automation projects,
hardware products with significant software components,
projects relying on the use of metal, wood, plastic, leather, textile, laminated materials, or other innovative materials,
products that require laser cutting, milling, die cutting, creasing, punching, bending, chipping, moulding and injection moulding, extrusion, 3D printing, or some combination of these.

Konetik
Konetik offers electronic vehicle (EV) fleet integration and management services for companies and energy utilities.
Through its dedicated, hardware-supported, cloud-based offering, the company helps its customers minimize the uncertainties and maximize the economic benefits of the transition to electric vehicles through providing
- automated EV feasibility assessments,
- advice for finding the most suitable charging setups and the right electric vehicles to the specific usage patterns, and
- an integrated e-fleet management platform.
UVisio
Develops a wearable device to measure the wearer’s exposure to UV radiation, and a connected mobile application for skin-type categorization and personalized, skin-type based sun care recommendations.
UVisio's device monitors actual sun intensity, as well as the user’s at-the-moment and accumulated daily sun exposure, calculates the optimal sun exposure time based on CIE/ISO standards and skin type, and alarms as the personally recommended maximum sun dose is about to be exceeded. The solution’s uniqueness is rooted in accuracy in
- individual accumulated sun exposure measurements (based on UV sensor measurements, web UV data, and GPS position), and
- skin and melanin content analysis with the user’s smartphone camera (relying on an objective and cost-effective method that also allows tracking of skin changes over time, which is possible only at a considerably higher cost with current methods).
Phoenix Project
Phoenix is developing a medical device for stroke patients with paralyzed hand and forearm.
The company’s smart anti-spastic hand orthosis utilizes special materials for the treatment of forearm spasticity, offering a novel bio-mechanical alternative to currently available solutions.
VR Park Hungary
VR Park Hungary develops custom-built virtual reality systems that afford multi-sensory, location-based experiences to users, simultaneously appealing to the full range of the users’ visual, tactile, and other sensory perceptions.
Expanding its dinosaur-themed VR game currently on display in malls in Budapest into a comprehensive VR Theme Park, a fully immersive exhibition where visitors experience complex virtual worlds created with cutting-edge digital technology, the company’s longer-term goal is to build a leasable turnkey platform that can be rented out to exhibition organizers internationally.
Chameleon
Chameleon’s proprietary smart home automation system bridges the gap between smart home devices and complete smart home systems.
The product provides a reliable and modular manufacturer-independent layer between the full gamut of sensors, actuators, and devices that one might want to install in their homes, on the one hand, and the market-leading smart home systems, on the other hand, affording a cost-effective freedom of choice for its users to keep their smart homes co-evolve with the start of the art.
Armbeep
Armbeep is a motion and performance analysis system optimized specifically for tennis players, facilitating data-supported game monitoring and coaching.
Armbeep consists of
- a wrist monitoring device recording users’ full wrist motion at 833 data points per second, as well as HR/HRV signals,
- motion processing and recognition software for the analysis of the data collected by the device, and
- a corresponding mobile app for the display and visualization of the data and the analytics.
Semiotiq
Semiotiq builds digital knowledge and collection management systems, workflow organizing systems, and complementary content services for cultural heritage institutions, such as libraries, museums, archives, publishers, and scientific organizations.
Built on microservices architectures, Docker-based containerization, an advanced RFID-based tracking system, and mobile technologies, Semiotiq’s Qooltus product provides cutting-edge, modular, and easily scalable IoT-based solutions, which can be integrated with the existing legacy systems currently in use by public collections and cultural heritage institutions.
REscan
Founded by a team of experienced commercial real estate (CRE) professionals and senior engineers coming from Google, SRI International, castAR, and Magic Leap, REscan digitizes large (1M+ Sq. ft.) commercial properties, creating an end-to-end remote viewing and analysis solution for the CRE industry.
REscan’s mobile platform – backed by advanced 3D scanning technologies developed with the company’s early investor SRI International – makes physical spaces remotely viewable, analyzable, editable, and AR/VR ready. Rescan is in the business of transforming spaces into data.
Oramix B.A.R.
B.A.R. by Oramix is a portable bluetooth audio router that can wirelessly connect up to 8 bluetooth speakers and/or audio devices (including smart phones and tablets), enabling its users to link up their devices irrespective of brands, and enjoy music and music making together.
It determines and automatically smoothes out the signal delay between the connected devices and tunes the network to the acoustic environment. Users can control the connected devices and the integrated music streaming services through B.A.R.’s mobile app, and can jointly edit the play lists. In the longer run, B.A.R. is developing an innovative hardware antenna that will significantly improve the functionality of Bluetooth technology.
Rainbox
Rainbox is a Smart Irrigration System primarily made for plant-friendly homes.
Rainbox is providing a high-value product that automates the irrigation of the customer’ plants with its Smart Water Distribution System up to 24 plants. Rainbox also has its own Plant Database currently with more than 300 plants which ensures every plant receives the correct water amount.
Patient-Record
Patient-Record is a platform facilitating asynchronous remote medical checkups of patients with neurological conditions.
Through video capturing pre-choreographed motion sequences carried out by patients and analyzing patients’ fine-motor activities on the video recordings with AI technology, the product lessens the need for off-line doctor’s appointments, allowing patients to do the checkups from the safety of their homes.
Hearnok
Hearnok is a real-time speech recognition and speech-to-text system for deaf and hard of hearing persons.
The system consists of (i) small wearable microphones recording real-life conversations, (ii) a smart phone app that transcribes the recorded conversations in real time with the help of cloud-based speech recognition software, and (iii) a mechanism that transfers the transcribed texts onto the user’s display of choice.

A tech venture builder. They comprise of an engineering team specilizing in the software backend of IoT hardware. Business, product design, data analytics and marketing experts pair with their engineering services.
